VoIP capabilities and limitations

It is no secret, the world of communication that is changing. Telecom companies have to either adjust communication and death have been and some of them appear to be seriously. A recent Pew poll shows that a quarter of the online world has already an Internet call at a given time and on any given day, about 5% of Internet users use VoIP calls. This is a dramatic increase mindshare had VoIP only a few years back. And so while VoIP not replace regular call ready, it is certainly it.

There are quite a few ways the VoIP industry. For example, one of the most important things that can do VoIP providers is to stop the fragmentation of the market and allow users of other VoIP networks to them call. For this we need a universal system, only on phone numbers is not addressing. As long as VoIP is only accessible by figures from the telcos, it remains dependent forever on always a secondary technology an outdated form of addressing. We see already some steps in this direction with Google voice intends for the Internet call SIP URIs, to publish, so that this could be a fixture in the time.

To promote this goal, we need to can convert the setting to a universal, open directory to speed up the telephone numbers in SIP URIs, if they exist. This means that we can still choose phone numbers, but have the call of the Internet to travel when it is linked to the number with a VoIP phone. This is for the transition period before we start, SIP URIs directly in the same way as, we send e-Mail to people, dial be suitable.

The possibilities for VoIP are increased in particular on the explosion of smart phones. These devices provide the flexibility in a variety of ways customers make calls and application developers have all the advantages of this.

Some restrictions remain. Mobile Broadband is still spotty, and can be unreliable. While technologies such as 4 G can help to work around this problem, is the danger of the telecom companies try, hinder voice use over 4 G with the assertion that VoIP clogged these networks. You can try and slow down VoIP calls to a bad experience. But the technology for VoIP is fundamentally sound and it is only a matter of time until these wrinkles are sorted out. So there are indeed some problems today, are we on our way to your solution and move in a VoIP dominated future.
